Demi Corrector - Seint

Demi Corrector is a carefully calibrated saturation of cream color that is strategically applied using a featherlight technique. Most of your skin remains untouched, resulting in undetectable makeup. You shouldn't have to choose between showing off the features you love and polishing the areas you don't. Demi Colour Correctors are like wearing no makeup at all. The color wheel is a useful tool for makeup artists to create a harmonious color palette and to help them decide which colors work well together.

Color Correcting is different than concealing. Color correcting uses makeup products to neutralize discoloration on your skin. Demi Colour Correctors use color science to brighten, sculpt and filter your complexion in a way that leaves you looking like yourself but on your best day! Cover up imperfections while keeping a natural finish that allows your skin to shine through!

Understanding Seint Demi:

Identify your skin's undertones: To determine which colors will work best on your skin, you need to know your skin's undertones. The color wheel can help you identify your undertones: if your skin has warm undertones, you should choose colors that are warm and have a yellow or gold base. If your skin has cool undertones, you should choose colors that are cool and have a blue or pink base.

Complementary colors: Complementary colors are colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel. For example, green is complementary to red, purple is complementary to yellow, and blue is complementary to orange. Using complementary colors in your makeup can create a bold and striking look.

Demi Correctors are unique with only 10%  opacity. Unlike concealers, Demi Colour Correctors do not leave behind any traces of makeup texture. Instead, your skin's natural luminosity shines through! Don't conceal, color correct!

You can purchase each shade as a single item, allowing you to create a custom palette for your skin's needs. Here are five key Seint Demi Shades and what they do:

People often think that filtering a pimple is automatically green. However, only the angriest of zits is a red shade needing green coverage and it is usually just a pinpoint spot.

The rest of the pimple, or healing pimples, will likely include darkness, muddiness, dullness, etc., making other demi shades necessary to filter out the excess colors pulling through to the surface. Once a pimple is healed, if it is scarred, it likely has some excess blue, which would need an orange hue to filter it out.

When it comes to makeup, the color wheel (and color theory) can help ensure you have a perfectly even skin tone. Color correcting is a makeup technique that involves using colors that are opposite on the color wheel to cancel out or neutralize certain skin discolorations.

Identify the discoloration:

The first step in color correcting is to identify the discoloration you want to correct. Common discolorations include dark circles, redness, and hyperpigmentation.

Choose the correct color:

Choose a color corrector that is opposite on the color wheel to the discoloration you want to correct. For example, green is opposite to red, so a green color corrector is used to neutralize redness. For dark circles, a peach or orange color corrector is used to neutralize the blue or purple undertones. If you want to correct some bluish-purple under-eye circles, these would likely be in the B1 shade on the wheel. If we look at the opposite side of the wheel, we see YO1. This means YO1 would be our perfect shade for color correcting. This will infuse your skin with a natural luminosity.

Seint Demi Color Match

Demi Colour Correctors do not use an all-over color match for your skin tone. It is NOT a concealer placed all over your problem areas giving you a full face of makeup. Instead, Demi Colour Correctors use color science to neutralize and filter out imperfections on the face.

This pic is me! I have a lot of acne scarring and some days I don't want to wear a full face of makeup. On these days I use my spot brush with Seint Demi Y1 which perfectly filters out the purple and brown left behind marks. My face still looks fresh, as if I'm wearing nothing at all. The key to Demi Correctors is to make sure you are identifying the right colors on your face so you can pick the right corrector for neutralizing, and only place Demi Correctors on the exact spots where you need them.
